San Diego area saxophonist and composer Ian Tordella is a unique voice on the West Coast jazz scene. Tordella has released three original albums under his own name and one with the jazz/rock collaboration Moth & Sons. He has appeared with Kamau Kenyatta, Jeff Denson, Peter Sprague, Victor Baker, Gilbert Castellanos, The Danny Green Trio, Joshua White, The Mattson 2, Max Bennett, Leonard Patton, and others.
As a saxophonist/woodwind player, Tordella has performed with Father John Misty, Paloma San Basilio, The Temptations, Cab Calloway Orchestra, Mike Bogart, Little Hurricane, Ed Shaughnessy, Michael Berkowitz, Michael Feinstein, Joe Garrison’s Night People, and Al Howard.
